Job Description

The Office of Senator Chris Coons (D-DE) seeks interns for his office in Washington, DC for fall 2023. Responsibilities include answering phones, sorting mail, handling requests for flags and tours, and assisting legislative staff in research. Internship positions are full or part time. This position requires outstanding organizational abilities, strong communication skills, attention to detail, poise, flexibility, and an ability to prioritize in an extremely fast-paced office. Applications require a completed questionnaire, a resume, cover letter, and one brief (2-3 pages) writing sample related to your major. Our office offers paid internships to applicants with demonstrated financial need. Those who are interested in and eligible to receive a paid internship are required to submit additional application materials to help determine their financial need. The internship will run from September to December. Application deadline is July 24th. Delaware ties are preferred.
