Fall Intern

Job Description

The office of U.S. Senator John Kennedy is seeking paid fall interns in his Washington, D.C., office for the upcoming fall term. Duties include assisting Staff Assistants in the front office, answering constituent phone calls, drafting constituent correspondence and conducting tours of the U.S. Capitol building. Interns will also have the availability to attend briefings and hearings during the internship. The position can be between 20 and 40 hours a week based on the applicant’s current academic responsibilities. A modest stipend is supplied for Metro use and housing costs. Louisiana connections are preferred but not required. Start date is September 2nd and end date is November 22nd.
