Are you a psychologist ready to make a difference? At McAtee Psychology, we empower individuals and families to build richer, more meaningful lives. We’re seeking a contracted Provisional , Registered Psychologist or Registered Social Worker to join our clinical team in South Calgary. The ideal candidate will primarily focus on family counseling, with the option to provide individual or couples counseling as a secondary service.

About Us

  • We provide counseling and assessment services to children, teens, and adults, specializing in neurotypical and neurodivergent populations.
  • Our newly renovated beautiful office is tailored to meet our clients' needs.
  • Our approach emphasizes delivering comprehensive, wraparound support for families, including individual and family counseling, parent and family consultations, as well as psychoeducational, autism, and mental health assessments.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide family counselling with the option of other counselling-related services
  • Location: primarily in-person; option of some virtual services, based on client needs
  • Schedule: must be available for some evening shifts, with part-time hours and the option to transition to full-time. Availability should fall between Monday to Saturday, 9 AM to 8 PM.

Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree or higher in Psychology, Social Work, Family and Couples, or related field.
  • Full Registration (or provisional) registration with the College of Alberta Psychologists (CAP) or Alberta College of Social Workers (ACSW)
  • Minimum 3 years of experience with families
  • Minimum 1 year experience working with neurodivergent clients (Autism, ADHD, FASD, etc.)
  • Minimum 2 years of experience perform individual counselling if candidate wishes to be considered for individual counselling services
  • Must have experience in one or more of the following: ABFT, SFT, FFT, CFT, or other formal family counselling training
