Family Law Paralegal

Job Summary
Price-Stephens Family Law is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Family Law Paralegal to support our legal team in managing family law cases. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years family law experience and possess strong research, drafting, and case management skills and be confident in providing professional client support. This role offers an opportunity to work in a collaborative environment dedicated to providing exceptional legal services, focused on client experience. An experienced candidate will be encouraged to enrich their duties as desired.

Duties

  • Prepare and review legal documents, including pleadings and correspondence, ensuring accuracy through proofreading and legal drafting expertise
  • Conduct legal research using LexisNexis and other resources to support case strategies
  • Case manage files in collaboration with the lawyer
  • Assist lawyer with client interviews, gathering relevant information and documentation for case preparation
  • Organize and maintain case calendars, deadlines, and court dates through effective brought forward systems
  • Support the firm’s filing system both electronically and physically, ensuring compliance with professional standards
  • Collaborate with team members on case progress updates and document review processes

Skills

  • Proven experience in legal drafting including pleadings, draft orders and family law agreements
  • Experience conducting legal research specific to family law cases
  • Strong proofreading abilities with attention to detail
  • Familiarity with LexisNexis, Clio Grow, Clio Manage and PrimaFact or similar software
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
  • Effective interviewing skills for client interactions and information gathering
  • Professional phone etiquette for client communication and appointment scheduling
  • Ability to perform thorough research and maintain confidentiality

This position is integral to delivering high-quality legal support in family law cases. The successful candidate will demonstrate professionalism, strong organizational capabilities, and a proactive approach to providing an outstanding client experience.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $65,000.00-$85,000.00 per year
