General Job Description:

Technician to provide hands on technical support and basic services, such as troubleshooting with customers over the phone, systems’ installations, with on-site visits where technical problems cannot be resolved over the phone as well as preventative maintenance where SLA defines it. This position will officially report to the Customer Support Manager based in USA. He/she will also need to coordinate and ensure that preventative maintenance assignments and service calls are completed on time, safely and properly documented.

Requirements:

Associates degree (A. S.) from a two-year college, university or technical school

Three to five years related experience

Training in electrical and electronic circuits is essential.

Familiarity with computer software and networks is required.

Must be able to work independently with little supervision

Ability to write reports, business correspondence, to effectively present information and respond to questions

Ability to troubleshoot problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions, P&ID’s and understand electrical diagrams

Must be able to provide comprehensive solution to problems even when it takes longer than anticipated.

Possess customer service skills and an ability to diagnose and solve problems from nontechnical descriptions provided by customers.

Ability to present long term service contracts to clients presenting the features and benefits to the individual customer.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Diagnose the root cause or failure of operational equipment.

Perform troubleshooting, analysis and repair of electrical/electronic/software-based systems.

Provide on call assistance to the customer.

Act as a direct interface and main focal-point with the customer and Atlantium when assistance is needed to resolve all problems.

Inspect wiring and fixtures for conformance to company specifications or local electrical codes.

Suggest changes in product and use of equipment to increase efficiency of the Customer Support department.

Maintain a safe working environment at all times. See that safety requirements are observed and correct those that do not measure up. Refuse to work in an unsafe area or condition.

Use PC/Remote Control to access systems and analyze their data.

Make recommendations to manufacturing on product improvements as well as safety concerns.

Must document in writing issues and communicate to Atlantium in a timely manner.

Travel requirements:

Travel to customer in the area will be on a daily basis – will require overnight stays.

Travel Within the US will be up to 75%

Travel outside the US may be required for training or global support.
