About Scale Suite
Scale Suite (www.scalesuite.com.au) is a dynamic Australian startup delivering scalable finance and HR solutions for fast-growing small-to-medium enterprises (SMEs). Our plug-in finance team combines professional expertise with startup agility, empowering businesses to save time, reduce costs, and thrive.
The Opportunity
We're looking for a Finance Analyst to work alongside our Senior Financial Analyst and CEO to deliver monthly financial reporting packs for Australian SME clients. You'll be hands-on with data extraction, analysis, and presentation-quality outputs, building the foundation for a career in FP&A while gaining exposure to a wide range of industries and Australian business practices.
This role suits someone technically strong who enjoys turning messy data into clear insights and polished deliverables.
Responsibilities
- Extract and consolidate financial data from Xero and other systems to support month-end reporting
- Prepare draft P&L summaries, variance analyses, and trend commentary for Senior Analyst review
- Load budgets into Xero and prepare budget vs actual reporting and commentary
- Build and maintain revenue, cost, and cash flow analyses across multiple client portfolios
- Create presentation-ready slides and visualisations for monthly financial packs
- Reconcile aged receivables and payables, flagging anomalies and overdue items
- Support cash flow forecasting by gathering inputs and updating rolling models
- Maintain data accuracy across client files, ensuring consistency between source systems and reports
- Assist with ad-hoc financial analysis as client needs arise
Requirements
Professional Background
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field from a reputable Philippine university
- CPA Philippines (licensed), or another relevant qualification (e.g. CFA, FMVA, or similar valuation/forecasting certification)
- 1–3 years of experience in accounting, audit, or financial analysis (Big 4, mid-tier firm, or corporate finance team preferred)
- Strong academic record demonstrating analytical capability
Technical Skills
- Solid understanding of financial statements and accounting principles
- Proficient in Excel/Google Sheets including advanced formulas, conditional formatting, and charts
- Comfortable learning new systems. We'll train you on Xero, but you should pick things up quickly
- Experience creating professional presentations (PowerPoint or Google Slides)
- Exposure to data visualisation or dashboarding a plus
Personal Attributes
- Meticulous attention to detail. You catch the error before it reaches the client
- Clear communicator who can explain numbers to non-finance audiences
- Organised and able to manage multiple client deadlines simultaneously
- Takes ownership of deliverables rather than waiting to be told what to do
- Genuinely curious about how businesses work
What We Offer
- Mentorship & Growth: Work directly with our Senior Financial Analyst and Australian leadership, with a clear path to senior roles as we scale
- Paid Training: Xero certification, Australian tax fundamentals, and ongoing professional development
- International Exposure: Gain experience with Australian SMEs across property, tech, hospitality, professional services, and more
- Fully Remote: Work from anywhere in the Philippines with modern collaboration tools (Slack, Google Workspace, Xero)
- Performance Bonuses: Quarterly incentives tied to quality and client satisfaction
- Travel Opportunity: Top performers may travel to Sydney for client and team collaboration
