Finance Manager

Punchcut is looking for an experienced Finance Manager to join our Design Operations team. The right individual will take ownership of the accounting and financial analyst function of the company in its entirety, working directly with the COO. This position will require an individual with a strong accounting and finance background, a flexible and creative mindset, strong analytical skills, and a sense of humor.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Accounting

• Oversee daily accounting activities, including general ledger maintenance, journal entries, and financial close process.
• Own a full cycle of Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable, including vendor and client setup, invoicing, collections, bill entries and reconciliations, issuing payments.
• Process multistate payroll, remitting payroll taxes and government reporting
• Manage cash flow and financing solutions.
• Work with external CPAs, auditors, and vendors.

Financial Analysis

• Consolidate, report and interpret the company’s financial performance for the leadership team.
• Perform forecasting analysis and modeling to help the company continue to grow profitably.
• Develop financial metrics, plans and budgets.
• Prepare routine and ad hoc reports to aid in decision-making.

Operations Support

• Collaborate with project management to review project and company metrics and recommend solutions.
• Propose pricing strategies, develop agency rate cards, and recommend cost reduction approaches.
• Support HR team in benefits administration and reporting.
• Identify opportunities to improve the effectiveness of our accounting and finance functions, including implementing new automation, FP&A tools, and AI solutions.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• 5 – 7 years of experience in a professional services/agency environment.
• Degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Experience with QuickBooks, Excel, Google Sheets, Professional Services Automation Service software.
• Those with CPA designation and/or MBAs are given special consideration.

BONUS POINTS FOR:

• We are open to hiring remotely anywhere in the U.S. but west coast is preferable.

COMPENSATION:

• Salary range is $130-160K
