Our client is a growing firm in the FI industry. This is a hands-on finance manager role whereby you will report to the Head of Finance.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for financial accounting, month end close and reporting including consolidation of the group reporting to HQ. Ensure timely monthly/quarterly/yearly financial close and compliance reporting.
- Responsible for FP&A functions, including preparing management reports and presentation decks to Management, Audit Com and Board. Prepare budgeting/forecasting and perform review of variance analysis.
- Act as a business partner to the business on relevant finance activities.
- Responsible for tax compliance (e.g. withholding tax, GST etc)
- Perform treasury functions including cash management and working capital management. Work on liquidity reporting and assist on new financial counterparties onboard processes.
- Ensure MAS regulated entity set of accounts are managed and kept in accordance regulatory requirements
- Spearhead and implement finance transformation projects to support the needs of the organisation
QUALIFICATIONS/ ACADEMIC BACKGROUND/ SKILLS
- A CA/CPA with a Bachelor’s Degree in accountancy or equivalent
- Min 10+ years of experience covering both financial accounting/month end close and FP&A functions, with some years gained in the financial institution industry exposure
- Prior external audit experience is required
- Knowledge of MAS regulations and IFRS is required
- Added cash management and working capital experience is useful (but not a must)
- Hands-on experience doing finance transformation work is beneficial
- Very hands-on despite being experienced
- Adaptable, meticulous and flexible.
- Good presentation and communication skills
- Possess strong people skills
- Has strong analytical and problem-solving skills
