A long-established independent dealership is seeking a Financial and Operations Manager to join a dynamic team providing excellent personal service to customers. Ideally suited to a driven and enthusiastic professional looking to help shape the future of the dealership in making an impact across Financial and Operational functions.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the finance function, including general ledger maintenance, accounts payable and receivable, management of cashflow management, bank reconciliations and preparation pf monthly management accounts.
• Maintain and strengthen internal controls, policies and procedures to safeguard company assets and improve efficiency.
• Process payroll and associated returns, ensuring accuracy and timely submission.
• ·Work closely with Sales and Aftersales teams and contribute to providing exceptional customer experiences
• Support the Managing Director in ensuring efficient operation of all aspects of the business

Candidate Profile

Financial professional with experience working in SME sector who enjoys hands-on involvement in daily operations. Previous motor trade experience preferred.

Strong technical accounting skills, familiar with timely and accurate management of the finance function

Candidates should possess a strong commercial acumen, with an ability to develop the current business and to seek opportunities for additional revenue streams.

The successful candidate will personable, able to interact well with customers and to motivate and inspire colleagues.

It is envisaged that the success in the role will, in due course, allow the Dealer Principal to step back from day-to-day dealership management while maintaining active involvement.

5 Day working week with flexibility around working time commensurate with the nature of the position.
