Fishing Deckhand

Fulltime positions have become available for Fisheries Deckhands to serve on medium sized trawler vessels.

clean and tidy appearance.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist in setting, hauling and operating fishing gear,

operate deck equipment including winches and cranes

mend nets splice ropes and carry out gear maintenance

support with processing packing and handling of catch

help load/unload supplies and catch.

ensure safe and tidy deck operations

participate in safety drills and watchkeeping when required

Physically and mentally fit or the demands of life at sea including ability for heavy lifiting

you will be out at sea for up to 6-7 days

the workplace and living areas are confined

must agree to both our random drug testing and pass a police clearance.

Job is share of catch.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Up to $29.50 per hour

Expected hours: 42 – 50 per week
