Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and friendly Food Service Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing excellent guest service, preparing and serving food, and maintaining a clean and safe environment. This role offers an opportunity to develop skills in food handling, customer service, and restaurant operations within a dynamic hospitality setting. Previous experience in food service or the food industry is preferred but not required. The position emphasizes teamwork, efficiency, and a commitment to guest satisfaction.

Duties

• Take customer orders accurately using POS systems such as Micros POS and handle cash transactions with precision.
• Prepare and serve food items according to safety and quality standards, ensuring proper food handling and sanitation practices.
• Provide exceptional guest services by greeting customers, answering questions, and upselling menu items when appropriate.
• Maintain cleanliness of workstations, dining areas, and kitchen equipment in compliance with sanitation regulations.
• Manage time effectively to ensure timely service during busy periods while maintaining high standards of quality.
• Assist with food preparation tasks as needed, including assembling orders and restocking supplies.
• Ensure all food safety protocols are followed to prevent contamination or spoilage.
• Support team members in various restaurant operations, including cashiering and guest services.

Skills

• Experience with POS systems such as Micros POS or similar platforms.
• Strong customer service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction.
• Knowledge of food safety standards and proper sanitation procedures.
• Ability to handle food preparation tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks during busy hours.
• Basic math skills for cash handling, making change, and inventory counts.
• Previous restaurant or food industry experience is highly desirable.
• Capable of working collaboratively within a team environment while maintaining professionalism.
• Upselling abilities to enhance guest experience and increase sales.
• Familiarity with food handling regulations, serving procedures, and hospitality best practices.
