• 28.87 base + 25% casual loading

Exciting opening is now available at Melbourne Zoo, open 365 days per annum, for skilled Food & Beverage Supervisor’s to play a role in the day-to-day activities of our functions/events and or Lakeside Café retail area. As a supervisor, you will guide and lead the team throughout their daily shift, with overall responsibility for staff mentoring, training and morale.

The Role:

• Assist in coordinating front of house team’s daily operational demands within a busy retail café environment.
• Lead the team to deliver high quality and exceptional customer service!
• Establish, uphold, and oversee quality customer service practices.
• Organise rosters as per operational requirements.
• Address any elevated guest grievances.

The Person:

• Strong people management and leadership skills
• Previous experience in a comparable role, seeking to contribute to a larger operation.
• Flexibility to work a variety of shifts as the business requires, including late finishes, weekend, and public holidays.
• Good knowledge of food and beverage service and products.
• Prior experience in Cafes and casual restaurants
• Barista, counter and POS skills
• Excellent knowledge of food and safety standards
