Food & Beverage Supervisor

About the Role

At The Savoy Hotel, our Food & Beverage Supervisors play a key leadership role in delivering exceptional service across our restaurant, bar, and event spaces. Working closely with management, you will oversee daily operations, lead and motivate the team, and ensure that every guest receives a seamless, memorable experience that reflects our 5-star standards.

This is a hands-on role, ideal for a passionate hospitality professional who leads by example, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and takes pride in developing others.

Key Responsibilities

Service Leadership & Guest Experience

  • Supervise and actively participate in day-to-day Food & Beverage service across all outlets.
  • Lead by example on the floor, ensuring exceptional service standards are consistently met.
  • Manage guest interactions professionally, handling feedback or complaints efficiently and courteously.
  • Maintain strong communication with the kitchen, bar, and management to ensure smooth service flow.

Team Supervision & Training

  • Assist with staff briefings, section allocations, and shift leadership.
  • Support the onboarding and training of new team members in line with hotel standards and training plans.
  • Monitor staff performance, offering guidance, coaching, and feedback to support development.
  • Foster a positive, professional, and supportive team environment.

Operational Control

  • Prepare service areas prior to service and ensure all stations are fully stocked and organised.
  • Supervise opening and closing procedures, including cash handling, cash-outs, and shift handovers.
  • Monitor stock levels, wastage, and breakages, reporting issues to management.

Standards, Compliance & Safety

  • Ensure compliance with all Health & Safety, Food Hygiene, Fire Safety, and Security policies.
  • Promote a strong culture of cleanliness, safety, and accountability within the department.
  • Report and assist with incidents, accidents, or damages as required.

Flexibility & Professionalism

  • Remain flexible to business needs, supporting other departments during peak periods when required.
  • Attend training sessions, meetings, and briefings as directed by management.
  • Carry out any other reasonable duties as requested by management.

Ideal Candidate

  • Previous experience in a supervisory or senior F&B role, ideally within a hotel/ restaurant or high-standard hospitality environment.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills with a hands-on approach.
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Confident using POS and reservation systems.
  • Passionate about guest service, team development, and operational excellence.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From €15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
