About the Role
We’re looking for a motivated and hands-on Food & Beverage Supervisor to join the team at Bloody Mary’s, the signature restaurant at Rydges Latimer Christchurch.
Responsible for the day-to-day operation of the outlet while on shift, you will maintain established service standards, uphold hotel policies and procedures, and ensure a seamless guest experience. You’ll lead from the floor — coordinating service, supporting your team, managing reservations and cashiering processes, and ensuring presentation and cleanliness standards are consistently met.
This role also supports roster forecasting, payroll cost control, stock management, and team training to ensure operational efficiency and achievement of profit budgets. Strong people leadership skills are essential to supervise, develop, and motivate a diverse team.
This is a full-time role with a minimum guaranteed hours of 30 per week.
Key Responsibilities

• Supervise daily operations of Bloody Mary’s to ensure exceptional service and guest satisfaction.
• Coordinate team members during service, ensuring smooth inter-department communication and collaboration.
• Support recruitment, training, and ongoing development to maintain professional and consistent service standards.
• Monitor stock levels, requisitions, cash handling procedures, and revenue reporting to protect assets and achieve budget targets.
• Ensure compliance with hotel policies, OH&S guidelines, and security procedures at all times.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness, grooming, presentation, and operational readiness across the outlet.

What You’ll Bring

• Proven experience in a Food & Beverage leadership or supervisory role within a quality hospitality environment.
• Strong operational knowledge including reservations systems, cashiering procedures, and stock control.
• Demonstrated ability to lead, train, and motivate a diverse team.
• Solid understanding of cost control, payroll management, and revenue reporting.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Commitment to delivering outstanding guest experiences in a fast-paced setting.
