Food Service Worker/Cashier

Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Food Service Worker/Cashier to join our team. This role involves providing excellent customer service, handling food preparation and cashiering duties, and maintaining a clean and safe environment. The ideal candidate will have experience in food service, strong communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently. Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve food items according to established standards and safety guidelines
• Operate POS systems, including Micros POS, for accurate order processing and cash handling
• Manage cashier duties such as processing transactions, giving change, and balancing cash drawers
• Provide exceptional customer service by greeting guests, taking orders, and addressing inquiries or concerns
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of workstations, dining areas, and food handling equipment in compliance with food safety standards
• Upsell menu items to enhance customer experience and increase sales opportunities
• Ensure proper food handling procedures are followed to maintain hygiene and safety standards
• Assist in food prep tasks as needed to support kitchen operations
• Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure timely service delivery

Requirements

• Previous experience in food service or restaurant environment preferred
• Familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS is a plus
• Strong customer service skills with a friendly attitude
• Ability to handle cash accurately and perform basic math calculations quickly
• Knowledge of food safety regulations and sanitation practices
• Excellent time management skills to handle high-volume periods efficiently
• Basic kitchen experience or food preparation skills are advantageous
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate clearly with coworkers and customers
• Flexibility to work various shifts including weekends or holidays if required
