Job Overview
Peoria Vein Center is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Front Office Administrator to join our healthcare team. The first impression position is responsible for organizing and performing the front office operations. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in our busy office ensuring the smooth operation of our medical office, providing exceptional patient service, and supporting our clinical staff. This high energy position is responsible for assisting our providers in both exam and treatment room settings. This is a full-time position Monday through Friday 40 hours. Duties
· Welcome and greet all patients and visitors, in person or over the phone
· Enter in new patient paperwork, patient updates and insurance information
· Schedule patient appointments
· Collect patient payments
· Input information in the Health Electronic Software system
· Answers the phone while maintaining a polite, courteous phone manner.
· Responsible for keeping the reception area clean and office organized.
· Registers new patients and updates existing patient demographics by collecting detailed patient information including personal and financial information
· Facilitates patient flow by notifying the provider of patients' arrival, being aware of delays, and communicating with patients and clinical staff.
· Respond to inquiries by patients, prospective patients, and visitors in a courteous manner.
· Maintain patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations, ensuring confidentiality and accuracy.
· Updates schedules in Electronic Health Record.
· Scan in patient data.
· Fax prescriptions, medical record requests, etc. or help out where needed
Skills
- High School diploma or GED required
- Familiarity with EHR systems
- Strong computer skills
- Excellent phone etiquette and customer service skills to ensure positive patient interactions.
- Multi-tasker, detail-oriented, possess strong customer service skills with the ability to keep up in a fast-paced environment, and extremely flexible.
- Previous experience in a medical office setting or clinic environment is preferred
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
