Roles & Responsibilities
We’re looking for someone who is passionate about coffee, naturally hospitable, and committed to delivering exceptional guest experiences with care and respect. In this role, you’ll support the daily operations across all Alchemist outlets, including International Plaza, Hong Leong Building, Khong Guan Building, The Mill, CIMB Plaza, 71 Robinson, The Heeren, Asia Square, Ocean Financial Centre, Funan, Plaza Singapura, and The Sail.

You will

• Deliver exceptional hospitality to our guests, colleagues, and all of our vendors and suppliers.
• Make and serve a selection of delicious beverages with a variety of different brewing and preparation methods.
• Stay knowledgeable about Alchemist’s current beverage offerings and preparation techniques; continuously cultivating your curiosity and knowledge through in-house tastings, cuppings, and training.
• Taste our coffee regularly to ensure quality that upholds our standards, and to develop your palate.
• Create a community in our cafes by sharing your joy and knowledge of coffee with our guests; inspire your fellow teammates to do the same.
• Support the team by taking joy in the tasks that keep the cafe running smoothly and effectively these tasks include cleaning, clearing, washing dishes, sweeping, dusting, mopping, cleaning and organizing condiment stations, and taking out the trash.
• Maintain proper health, and food safety according to the food safety guidelines.
• Promote a clean and safe workspace.

You are

• Proactive and enthusiastic individuals with an avid interest in learning and making coffee.
• Outgoing personality to interact with customers and retain regulars.
• Passionate about speciality coffee and creating inclusive hospitality engagement.
• Excited about taking on challenges and possess a positive attitude.
• Possess a valid food hygiene certificate.

About Us

Dedicated to making quality coffee approachable and accessible to all.

Alchemist started out in May 2016, serving coffee to the community around International Plaza.

As a small hole-in-the-wall coffee joint located within the bustling Central Business District, the first step began with a commitment to the delivery of great coffee in a simple and no-frills approach. These later became our founding values that we as a small local business take pride in.

In 2019, we took a big leap of faith and launched our flagship store at Khong Guan Building. A sanctuary within a heritage building where you can enjoy a fresh brew of coffee, in full view of our roastery in action.

Over the last few years, we stayed committed to the delivery of simple and no-frills coffee experience in each and every one of our coffee bar. We now have 12 outlets in total, including Hong Leong Building, The Heeren, The Mill, CIMB Plaza, Asia Square, 71 Robinson, Ocean Financial Centre, Funan, Plaza Singapura and The Sail.

Pay: $2,100.00 - $2,700.00 per month
