Garment Alteration Specialist & Quality Controller

Location: Melbourne Northcote

Job Type: full time or part time (minimum 15 hours per week)

Salary: $45,000-$65,000 annual package, or $25 -$35 per hour+super

About Us:

We are a well-established garment alteration business seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Alteration Specialist to join our team. This role is perfect for someone passionate about sewing and delivering high-quality work.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform alterations, including hemming, resizing, and repairing garments.
• Clear communication with order manager, Inform the manager of any complex alteration challenges.
• Use sewing machines and hand stitching techniques with precision.
• Inspect garments for quality before and after alterations.
• Maintain an organized and clean workspace.
• Assist with customer fittings and make on-the-spot adjustments if needed.
• Maintain and care for sewing tools and equipment.

Requirements:

• at least 2-3 years experience in garment alterations or tailoring.
• Willing to learn and adapt in new system.
• Knowledge of sewing machines and tools.
• Strong attention to detail and quality control.
• Ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines.
• Friendly and professional attitude.
