To help us with this, we are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic intern to join our international team. The full-time position has a duration of six months entails working in an innovative work environment of excellence within the Zurich hardware technology incubation team. We are an agile and multi-disciplinary team forming part of the wider Apple Hardware Technology organization. With significant lab space, we are pursuing ground-breaking hardware development to enable future products and features that enrich the lives of our customers.
Description
As an intern, your focus will be on optimizing measurements, processes, and material characterizations that support next-generation hardware innovations. You will work closely within the multi-disciplinary teams including design, materials, metrology, and product development. You will learn new process capabilities, executing design of experiments (DOE), support failure mode analyses, and contribute to performance and reliability measurements.
You will bring a unique blend of technical expertise within the area of process development, chemistry and/or material science. Furthermore, a strong problem-solving capability, and a collaborative mindset to help develop early-stage concepts with the vision on scalable, high-volume manufacturing solutions
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge in optical, mechanical, and/or materials metrology techniques.
Experience in CAD software
Experience in electronics is an advantage
Minimum Qualifications
Currently enrolled in a M.S. Degree or equivalent in Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, Chemistry, or a related field.
Understanding of developing assembly processes and implementing data-driven process improvements.
Experience in programming and in data analytics such as design of experiments and root cause investigations.
Ability to work hands-on and independent in the lab within a multi-disciplinary team environment
Open-minded and adaptable in fast-paced, evolving environments.
Creative, quick-thinking, persistent, and empathetic with a team-oriented mindset.
