About this role

We are seeking a highly motivated, hands-on, and results-driven Corporate Development professional to head our team and play a pivotal role in driving our journey to IPO as one of the largest tech startups in SEA.

You will play a critical role in shaping and executing our growth strategy, ensuring the company's continued success. You will be responsible for leading corporate initiatives and driving key transactions to enhance our market position, increase our valuation, and maximize shareholder value.

This is a group-level role based in Singapore.

Responsibilities:

Corporate Strategy Leadership

• Develop and refine our overall corporate strategy, considering market dynamics and internal capabilities.
• Identify growth opportunities and potential synergies through market research and analysis of strategic options.
• Drive the execution of strategic initiatives, ensuring effective implementation across the organization.

Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A):

• Lead the end-to-end M&A process, from deal sourcing to integration.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess strategic fit, financial viability, and post-merger plans.
• Establish relationships with external stakeholders, including investment bankers and advisors.

Fundraising and Investor Relations:

• Work closely with the executive team to develop and execute fundraising strategies to support the company's growth objectives.
• Prepare investment materials, including pitch decks, financial models, and business plans.
• Engage with existing and potential investors, articulating the company's value proposition, growth potential, and financial performance.

Ideal Experience

• Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or a related field. MBA or advanced degree preferred.
• 10-12+ years of experience in Investment Banking, Private Equity, and/or Consulting PE Practice background, ideally with experience covering the TMT sector executing both M&A and Fundraising deals.
• Proven experience in a similar role within a high-growth tech startup or relevant industry.
• Strong understanding of financial analysis, valuation methodologies, and deal structuring.
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to influence and build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Strategic thinker with a track record of driving growth initiatives and delivering results.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment and navigate ambiguity.
