Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Safety Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring a safe working environment by developing and implementing safety policies and procedures. This position requires a proactive approach to identifying potential hazards and providing training to employees on safety practices. The Safety Officer will also collaborate with various departments to promote a culture of safety within the organization.
Duties
- Conduct regular safety inspections and audits of the workplace to identify hazards and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Develop, implement, and maintain safety training programs for employees, focusing on best practices and regulatory requirements.
- Investigate accidents and incidents, documenting findings and recommending corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.
- Collaborate with management to create safety policies and procedures that align with industry standards.
- Provide guidance on the safe fabrication of materials and equipment, ensuring all processes meet safety guidelines.
- Maintain accurate records of safety training sessions, inspections, incidents, and compliance reports.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all safety-related inquiries and concerns within the organization.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a safety officer role or similar position, with a strong understanding of workplace safety regulations.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively convey safety information to employees at all levels.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
- Experience with COR Certification
- Experience in training development is highly desirable; ability to create engaging training materials is a plus.
- Relevant certifications in occupational health and safety are preferred (e.g., OSHA certification).
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.

Pay: $75,000.00-$80,000.00 per year
