Safety is central to everything we do. As our operations continue to grow across multiple regions, we are strengthening our Health & Safety function to ensure the highest standards are maintained across all sites and projects.
The Role
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Health & Safety Officer to support our operations in Ireland and across Europe. This role will work closely with project teams, site managers, and senior leadership to promote a strong safety culture and ensure full compliance with health & safety legislation and company standards.
You will be based in Dublin, with regular travel to project sites nationally and internationally.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement and monitor health & safety policies, procedures, and systems across multiple sites
- Conduct site inspections, audits, and risk assessments on construction and fibre installation projects
- Ensure compliance with Irish and European health & safety legislation and client requirements
- Support project teams with method statements, risk assessments (RAMS), and safe systems of work
- Investigate incidents, near misses, and accidents, producing reports and corrective action plans
- Deliver toolbox talks, inductions, and safety training to site personnel
- Liaise with clients, subcontractors, and regulatory bodies on safety matters
- Promote continuous improvement and a proactive safety culture across the business
Requirements
- 3–5+ years’ experience in a Health & Safety role
- (construction, telecoms, utilities, or infrastructure experience is highly advantageous)
- Strong working knowledge of Irish health & safety legislation
- Experience operating across multiple sites and project environments
- Ability to influence site teams and communicate effectively at all levels
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Willingness to travel across Ireland and Europe. Qualifications (Essential / Desirable)
Qualifications & Experience
- Degree or diploma in a relevant discipline (Health & Safety, Engineering, or similar)
- Full driving licence (preferred)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
- Strong working knowledge of Irish H&S legislation
- Proven experience within the construction or engineering sector
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From €18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 39 per week
