Hgv Driver

We are currently seeking reliable and experienced HGV Driver to join our team in Meath.

Responsibilities:

Carry out the scheduled collection of waste materials from designated customer sites along assigned routes.

Supervise collection crews on RCV (Refuse Collection Vehicle) routes, ensuring tasks are performed safely and efficiently. Bins must be emptied using proper manual handling techniques and returned to correct and secure locations in compliance with company bin-placement guidelines.

Complete daily route documentation and conduct pre-use vehicle safety checks.

Operate company vehicles in accordance with internal policies, focusing on safe driving and fuel efficiency practices.

Maintain the cleanliness and roadworthiness of all assigned vehicles and equipment, helping ensure the safety of all road users and minimizing environmental impact.

Submit all necessary documentation and digital records during debriefs at the end of each shift as per company policy.

Uphold all Health & Safety standards, and support company efforts to protect the welfare of staff and the public.

Represent the company in a professional and courteous manner at all times.

Candidate Profile:

We are looking for a dependable and skilled professional with the following:

At least 2 years of experience in the waste management or transport sector.

Possession of a valid driver’s license, up-to-date CPC certification, and other relevant credentials.

Manual Handling and Safe Pass certifications are beneficial.

Strong command of spoken and written English.

Willingness to work flexibly across various departments and work types within the company.

Must have legal entitlement to work in Ireland.

Previous experience in the waste industry will be considered a strong advantage.

Pay: €29,933.51-€47,692.58 per year
