Horticulturist / Garden Centre Assistant

Kiernan’s Garden Centre & Cameron Kiernan Landscaping are a well-established family business serving Cork for over 25 years. Alongside our thriving Garden Centre, we provide professional horticultural and landscaping services to a growing customer base.

We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Horticulturist to join our team at Kiernan’s Garden Centre in Douglas.

Key Responsibilities

• Providing expert advice and assistance to customers.
• Plant care, maintenance and presentation.
• Stock control, merchandising and replenishment.
• Assisting with deliveries and stock intake.
• Maintaining high standards throughout the Garden Centre.
• Supporting the day-to-day operation of the business.

Skills & Experience

The ideal candidate will:

• Have a qualification in Horticulture or relevant industry experience.
• Possess strong plant knowledge and a genuine passion for horticulture.
• Have excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Be reliable, organised and capable of working as part of a team.
• Have experience in a retail horticulture, nursery or garden centre environment.

Position Details

Location: Kiernan’s Garden Centre, Douglas, Cork

Hours: Full-Time

Salary: Competitive salary, dependent on experience

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: €18.00 per hour
