Hostess/Host

Overview
We are seeking a friendly and organized Host/Host to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, ensuring a warm welcome and smooth dining experience. Your hospitality skills will play a crucial role in creating a positive atmosphere and maintaining excellent guest relations. Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly as they enter the restaurant and provide them with menus.
• Manage the seating chart and ensure efficient table turnover while maintaining guest comfort.
• Communicate wait times accurately to guests and maintain a positive demeanor during busy periods.
• Assist with reservations and special requests, ensuring all guest needs are met promptly.
• Collaborate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure seamless service throughout the dining experience.
• Handle phone inquiries with professionalism, providing information about the menu, specials, and reservations.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand and dining area.
• Utilize POS systems effectively to manage guest flow and seating arrangements.

Requirements

• Previous experience in hospitality or food service is preferred but not mandatory.
• Strong customer service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction.
• Familiarity with POS systems, specifically Aloha POS, is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with an emphasis on phone etiquette.
• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• A friendly demeanor with the ability to engage positively with guests and team members alike.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as needed.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
