  • At least 2 years of prior experience in a high-volume restaurant.
  • Must be 18 years or older, as this is a full-time position.
  • Ability to handle a fast-paced environment with a positive attitude.

What does our Host(ess) do?

  • Warmly Welcome Guests: Greet guests as they arrive with a friendly, professional demeanor, ensuring they feel valued and comfortable. Seat guests in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Manage Multiple Tasks: Handle various responsibilities at once, such as greeting guests, answering phone calls, assigning sections to the FOH team, and managing reservations, all while maintaining a positive atmosphere.
  • Tech-Savvy Operations: Utilize tablets, iPads, and our table management system (Seven Rooms) to assist with guest seating and reservations.
  • Communicate with BOH: Coordinate with back-of-house (BOH) management to manage reservations and ensure smooth communication for timely seating.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with the FOH team, kitchen staff, and management to ensure seamless operations and an outstanding guest experience.
  • Customer Service Excellence: Work with the FOH team and management to quickly and professionally resolve any guest concerns or complaints, ensuring total guest satisfaction.
  • Supervisory Tasks: May assist with checkout duties and other supervisory tasks for the FOH team as needed.
  • Adherence to Policies: Comply with the company attendance policy and dress code, ensuring proper uniform (including non-slip shoes) is worn at all times.

To be successful in this position you will need:

  • Experience: At least 2 years in a similar role, preferably within a high-volume restaurant setting.
  • Tech-Savvy: Proficient in using computer systems, with knowledge of guest seating software programs such as Seven Rooms (or similar platforms).
  • Adaptability: Capable of thriving in a fast-paced environment and adjusting to ever-changing circumstances.
  • Physical Stamina: Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift.
  • Cash Handling: Prior experience managing cash and credit card transactions accurately.
  • Strong Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with both guests and team members.
  • Interpersonal Skills: A friendly and approachable demeanor, with strong interpersonal skills to provide exceptional service.
  • Restaurant Knowledge: Familiarity with the menu, specials, and layout of the restaurant to assist guests efficiently.
  • Food Safety Certification: Must obtain Food Safety certification within 60 days of employment.
