Host/Server

Overview
Hongdae 33 KBBQ are seeking a friendly and professional Host/Server to join our dynamic team. This role is essential in creating a welcoming atmosphere for our guests and ensuring exceptional customer service throughout their dining experience. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a positive attitude, and a passion for hospitality. Previous experience in food service or restaurant settings is preferred, but we welcome motivated individuals eager to learn. This position offers an opportunity to develop guest relations skills and gain valuable experience in the hospitality industry.

Duties

• Greet guests warmly upon arrival and manage waitlists efficiently
• Seat guests and provide menus, ensuring a smooth flow of service
• Take accurate orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS
• Communicate effectively with kitchen staff and servers to ensure timely service
• Assist guests with questions about the menu, specials, and restaurant policies
• Maintain a clean and organized host station and dining area
• Handle guest inquiries via phone with professionalism and courtesy
• Support servers during busy periods by delivering drinks or assisting with table needs
• Ensure guest satisfaction by providing attentive and friendly service throughout their visit

Experience

• Prior host/host experience or food service background is preferred but not required
• Strong customer service skills with an emphasis on guest relations and hospitality
• Familiarity with restaurant POS systems such as TOAST POS
• Excellent communication skills, including phone etiquette and guest interaction
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism
• Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant settings will be advantageous but not mandatory; training will be provided for all new team members

Pay: $20.48 - $24.66 per hour
