Housekeeping Intern

The Housekeeping Intern assists the housekeeping team in maintaining cleanliness, orderliness, and overall sanitation of assigned areas. This role provides hands-on experience in housekeeping operations, proper cleaning procedures, and guest service standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in cleaning guest rooms, offices, and common areas.
• Support bed making, linen changing, and room setup.
• Help replenish toiletries, towels, and other supplies.
• Maintain the cleanliness of hallways, restrooms, and public spaces.
• Assist in the proper handling and storage of cleaning equipment and chemicals.
• Follow housekeeping standards, procedures, and safety guidelines.
• Report any maintenance issues or damages to the supervisor.
• Help with the inventory of housekeeping supplies and linens.
• Ensure proper waste disposal and segregation.
• Assist in laundry operations when needed.
• Observe and learn proper housekeeping techniques and time management.
• Maintain a professional appearance and behavior at all times.
• Support deep cleaning activities as scheduled.
• Follow instructions from supervisors and complete assigned tasks promptly.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Currently enrolled in Hospitality Management or a related course.
• Willing to undergo internship/OJT training.
• Basic knowledge of cleaning procedures is an advantage.
• Physically fit and able to perform manual tasks.
• Attention to detail and cleanliness.
• Willing to learn and take instructions.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Can work in a team environment.
• Honest, reliable, and responsible.
• Flexible with working hours, including weekends if required.
