The Housekeeping Supervisor at Novotel Darwin CBD plays a crucial role in ensuring that all guest rooms and public areas are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene. This position involves supervising the housekeeping staff, managing cleaning schedules, and ensuring compliance with the company's quality standards. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to lead a team effectively.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of the housekeeping team to ensure all cleaning tasks are completed efficiently and to the highest standards.
- Inspect guest rooms and common areas to ensure cleanliness, sanitation, and adherence to ACCORs quality standards.
- Develop and maintain cleaning schedules and allocate tasks based on occupancy levels and priorities.
- Provide training and mentorship to housekeeping staff to enhance performance and service delivery.
- Monitor inventory levels of cleaning supplies and linen, and coordinate orders as needed.
- Address and resolve guest inquiries and complaints regarding housekeeping services promptly and professionally.
- Collaborate with the front office and maintenance departments to ensure seamless operations and guest satisfaction.
- Implement and uphold health and safety regulations within the housekeeping department.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations for housekeeping staff, providing constructive feedback and recognizing achievements.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in housekeeping or a similar role, with at least 1-2 years in a supervisory position.
- Strong knowledge of cleaning techniques, products, and equipment.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Ability to lead, motivate, and develop a diverse team.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality service.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with staff and guests.
- Basic computer skills for managing schedules and inventory.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
