Introduction:
About the Role

Liberty Industrial is seeking an experienced HR Generalist to play a hands-on, influential role across our People & Culture function. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, operational environment and enjoys partnering closely with leaders and employees to deliver practical, people-focused outcomes.

You’ll support the business across organisational development, employee and industrial relations, performance management, remuneration, compliance, and engagement initiatives, helping build a high-performing, resilient, and values-led workforce in a predominantly blue-collar environment

Description:
Key Responsibilities

Partner with leaders to support organisational development, workforce capability, and change initiatives
Manage employee and industrial relations matters, including grievances, performance issues, and disciplinary processes
Support remuneration, benefits, and reward initiatives to ensure market competitiveness and internal equity
Deliver employee engagement initiatives, wellbeing programs, and retention strategies
Analyse HR metrics (turnover, absenteeism, engagement data) to support informed decision-making
Support succession planning and internal mobility initiatives
Ensure compliance with employment legislation, awards, and company policies
Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and sustainability within HR operations
Act as a trusted advisor to leaders and employees across Australia and the UK
Occasional travel to site will be required

Skills and Experiences:
What We’re Looking For

Proven organisational development and industrial / employee relations experience within a blue-collar or industrial environment
Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels
Digitally savvy with a growth mindset, comfortable using HR systems, data, and technology to drive better outcomes

Bonus Points If You Have

Experience operating in an HR Business Partner capacity
Exposure to engagement surveys, remuneration reviews, and employee wellbeing initiatives
Experience supporting change initiatives such as workforce growth, transformation, or integration

What You’ll Bring

3–5+ years’ experience in a generalist HR role
Strong working knowledge of Australian employment legislation and industrial relations frameworks
Confidence handling sensitive matters with professionalism, discretion, and fairness
Ability to work autonomously while collaborating closely with leaders and the broader People & Culture team
A pragmatic, solutions-focused approach aligned to operational realities
