Hr Generalist

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced HR Generalist to manage end-to-end human resources functions for an architectural and construction firm. The role supports both office-based professionals (architects, engineers, admin) and project/site personnel, ensuring compliance, workforce stability, and effective people operations across multiple projects.

Key Responsibilities

Recruitment & Staffing

  • Manage recruitment for architects, engineers, project managers, site supervisors, skilled labor, and support staff
  • Coordinate onboarding and mobilization for project-based hires
  • Maintain manpower planning aligned with project schedules

HR Operations

  • Administer employee records, contracts, and HR documentation
  • Manage timekeeping, attendance, leaves, and disciplinary records
  • Support payroll processing and benefits administration

Employee Relations

  • Act as point of contact for HR concerns of office and site staff
  • Handle disciplinary actions, investigations, and grievance resolution
  • Support performance management and appraisal processes

Compliance & Labor Relations

  • Ensure compliance with labor laws, DOLE requirements, and construction-specific regulations
  • Prepare reports and documentation for audits, inspections, and government agencies
  • Assist with workplace safety coordination and policy enforcement

Policy & Process Development

  • Implement HR policies, employee handbook, and SOPs
  • Support training, skills development, and workforce upskilling initiatives

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Business Administration, or related field
  • Minimum 3 years HR experience, preferably in construction, engineering, or project-based industries
  • Strong knowledge of labor law, disciplinary procedures, and HR documentation
  • Experience dealing with both professional staff and skilled labor
  • Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
  • Willing to visit project sites as needed

Preferred Skills

  • Familiarity with payroll systems and timekeeping tools
  • Experience supporting multiple simultaneous projects
  • Strong judgment, confidentiality, and conflict resolution ability
