What you'll do

As an HR Intern, you’ll play a key role in supporting the APAC People Agenda, helping to deliver high-impact initiatives that enhance the employee experience across the region. Reporting to the Senior HR Business Partner, APAC (based in Singapore), you’ll gain hands-on exposure to a broad range of HR functions - including recruitment, onboarding, employee engagement, data management, and internal communications. You’ll also contribute to regional projects that shape our culture, support learning, and drive operational excellence - all while developing practical skills and a deeper understanding of HR in a global tech environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Attract & Hire

    • Support end-to-end recruitment coordination: job postings, interview scheduling, and candidate tracking

    • Assist with employer branding or sourcing initiatives in collaboration with Talent Acquisition

    • Help ensure a smooth candidate experience by coordinating with recruiters, hiring managers, and candidates

    Onboard & Offboard

    • Facilitate new hire setup: system entries, welcome messages, and ID badge preparation

    • Provide ongoing onboarding support and serve as a point of contact for new joiners

    • Support offboarding tasks including employee leaver logistics

    • Maintain and update onboarding materials, distribution lists, and org charts

    • Notify employees and managers of upcoming probation review deadlines

    Engage & Communicate

    • Assist in organizing internal events, including data gathering and logistics

    • Contribute to the creation of newsletter content and internal communications

    • Help manage the APAC Employee Hub (Slack Canvas or similar), ensuring information is current and relevant

    • Support APAC-wide engagement initiatives and culture-building moments

    Enable & Develop

    • Coordinate logistics for learning and development sessions and internal town halls

    • Prepare presentation content in PowerPoint

    • Assist in maintaining employee self-service systems and internal HR knowledge resources

    Measure & Improve

    • Prepare and distribute monthly reports (e.g., leave balance, commission updates)

    • Assist with data collection, research, and entry for various HR projects

    • Support analysis of employee data and regional reports for internal use or leadership presentations

    • Help respond to audit-related data requests or documentation needs

HR Administration & Ad Hoc Support

    • Maintain employee data accuracy in SAP SuccessFactors and other internal HR systems

    • Conduct ad hoc data research and administrative tasks as needed to support the HRBP team

What You Bring

  • Currently enrolled in a university degree program (e.g., Human Resources, Business, Psychology, or related field)

    • Availability to work at least 3 days per week (full-time preferred during break periods)

    • High aptitude for technology; comfortable navigating tools and systems, with working knowledge of Excel

    • Strong analytical skills, with high accuracy and attention to detail

    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across cultures and time zones

    • Adaptable, fast-thinking, and energized by working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment

    • Fluency in English is required; additional languages are a plus

What we offer

  • A fast-growing company with an international presence, innovative outlook and a strong market position, blending the best parts of a ‘start-up’ mentality with the security (and resources) of an established multi-national

  • The opportunity to contribute to a bespoke, complex and successful product focused on innovation

  • A learning environment, heavy on personal and professional development that allows you to both learn from some of the best in the industry and own your own career

  • An inspiring and positive environment, working alongside talented, friendly and passionate people where success is supported and celebrated as a collective

  • A commitment to hybrid, trust based working, with weekly on-site collaboration for a dedicated space to work, socialise, hold meetings and create solutions as a group

At SAP Engagement Cloud, we are committed to building diverse teams with a rich variety of perspectives and experiences. If your job profile closely aligns with our essential requirements and business need, we encourage you to apply. We are dedicated to assessing your competencies, learning agility and passion and not your age, disability, familial status, sexual orientation, gender, race, ethnicity, religion or nationality.
