Role: HR Intern
Job Type: Fixed Term Contract 12 months
Location: Letterkenny (Hybrid 4 days onsite)

The Role
The HR Intern will support onboarding, interview scheduling, employer branding activities, planning and attending academic events, ensuring a best-in-class candidate experience and support recruitment reporting while gaining hands‑on experience in a fast‑paced HR team. The ideal candidate is highly organized, proactive, and passionate about talent acquisition.
Your responsibilities:
Onboarding & New Hire Support
- Assist with the coordination of onboarding activities to ensure a smooth and positive experience for new hires.
- Support the set-up of induction schedules
- Help coordinate welcome calls between hiring managers and candidates prior to start dates.
- Support background check processes
- Attend induction sessions to provide on‑the‑day support
- Assist with sending post‑induction surveys and gathering responses.
- Support post‑start check‑ins with new hires to help maintain engagement and capture feedback.

Support recruitment branding efforts by:
- Posting live roles on LinkedIn
- Sharing and engaging with recruitment and employer brand content
- Assist with highlighting open roles by engaging relevant internal teams for visibility.
- Support attendance at career fairs and recruitment events
- Support the scheduling of interviews for open roles
- Assist with onsite interview logistics
- Help maintain accurate interview tracking
- Support the new joiner experience
- Assist in preparing basic recruitment reports from applicant tracking system
- Support the distribution of candidate satisfaction surveys to recently interviewed applicants
- Help organise and maintain recruitment documentation and trackers
HR Operations Support
- Support with day-to-day HR administration and operations
- Help organize key engagement events on-site E.G, Wellness events and Diversity, Equity & Inclusion events.
Your Profile:
Essential skills:
- Applicants must be currently completing a Human Resources degree or another relevant degree. Placement students only.
- Strong organizational and communication skills with attention to detail.
- Good proficiency in MS Office and ability to learn new IT systems quickly.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Good negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
- Flexibility to successfully adapt to changing priorities, demands, and requests.
- Familiarity with HR systems and reporting tools.
- Experience in recruitment or HR processes; exposure to recruitment is desirable.
- Knowledge of diversity and inclusion best practices.
