What you will be doing:
The Human Resources Co-op Candidate assists and provides administrative support to the Human Resources Manager in delivering all aspects of the Human Resources functions. Some of the responsibilities include:
- Filing, processing and maintaining confidential information;
- Assisting in coordinating all employee programs and activities;
- Updating and maintaining bulletin boards;
- Maintaining excel spreadsheets, creating meeting minutes, assisting in HR projects (I.e., Training trackers, Health and Safety meetings, disciplinary meetings, festive projects);
- Assisting in the recruitment process of hourly employees and other coops (when available)
- Participation in the Joint Health Safety Committee meeting, taking meeting notes, creating Safety Posters.
- Assist with tracking Hilton University training's – major use of Excel Spreadsheets and Hilton’s online university program.
- Maintain performance evaluations tracker
- Maintains hotel’s Birthday program
- Assists the HR Department with special events (i.e. Themed events, Christmas Party, Employee Luncheons etc.)
- Other appropriate duties as assigned
Business attire is required, as you will interact with internal/external clients.
What we are looking for:
- Excellent in communication skills – written or verbal
- Trustworthy and professional in dealing with confidential information
- Organization, multi-tasking, prioritization, time management skills
- Computer literate – Experience with Word, PowerPoint and especially Excel is highly desired*
- Creative – able to design posters, cards and other themed material
- Friendly, outgoing personality with lots of enthusiasm
- Able to work as part of a team and also independently

Please note the selected enrolled student will be able to earn college/university credits as compensation for this HR Placement.
