Job Title: HR Intern – Textile Manufacturing

Location: Winston Salem NC Department: Human Resources

Reports to: HR Manager

About Us:

BekaertDeslee USA Inc. is BekaertDeslee’s production and distribution center for the USA and Canada. BekaertDeslee USA employs about 280 persons and manufactures and sells mattress ticking to the abovementioned markets from its 270,000 sq. ft. plant and 87,000 sq. ft. warehouses. The plant consists of two main buildings with an extrusion line, a preparation department for the production of weaving beams, a weave room with 60 jacquard looms, a knitting department with 69 circular knitting machines, a finishing department with 2 tenter frames and a hot-melt machine, and other necessary equipment and a warehouse.

Job Description:

As an HR Intern, you will assist in various HR functions and activities to support the day-to-day operations of the HR department. You will work closely with the HR Manager and other team members to ensure smooth HR operations in a fast-paced, manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

· Recruitment Support: Assist in posting job openings, screening resumes, and scheduling interviews for various roles in the manufacturing facility.

· Onboarding & Orientation: Support the onboarding process for new hires, including preparing welcome materials, conducting orientation sessions, and assisting with paperwork.

· Employee Records Management: Help maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records, both in digital and physical formats, ensuring compliance with labor laws and company policies.

· Employee Engagement: Assist in organizing employee engagement activities, team-building events, and employee recognition programs to boost morale and foster a positive work environment.

· Training & Development: Help organize training sessions, track employee training completion, and assist with maintaining training records.

· Compliance & Documentation: Assist with compliance-related activities such as ensuring proper documentation of health and safety policies, labor law compliance, and any required certifications for workers.

· General HR Support: Provide administrative support such as preparing HR reports, handling employee inquiries, and managing HR filing systems.

Requirements:

· Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Industrial Relations, or a related field.

· Strong interest in HR and talent management in the manufacturing industry.

· Basic understanding of HR functions and labor laws is a plus.

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

· Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

· Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

· Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

· Willingness to learn and take initiative.

· Previous internship or work experience in an HR or administrative role is a plus but not required.
