HANDEL’S HOMEMADE ICE CREAM is hiring Ice Cream Scoopers & Cashiers for our brand-new location in Vancouver, WA! Be part of a fun and fast-growing team, serving guests the same homemade recipes that Alice Handel first introduced in Youngstown, Ohio back in 1945. We make each batch fresh in-store, every day — and we’re passionate about delivering great flavors and an even better guest experience.

What We Expect From Team Members

• Warmly greet guests and guide them through 48+ flavor options with confidence and enthusiasm
• Provide fast, friendly, and genuine service during busy shifts
• Operate a cash register, credit card terminal, and POS touchscreen system with accuracy
• Handle cash and perform basic math for transactions
• Maintain a clean and sanitary workspace in compliance with state and local food safety standards
• Lift, carry, and move up to 25 lbs repeatedly during a shift
• Stand, walk, and use hands/wrists continuously throughout the shift
• Consistently arrive on time and follow proper call-out procedures
• Maintain a team-focused, respectful, and high-energy work ethic
• Must be able to obtain a valid Washington State Food Worker Card prior to beginning work
• Must be available to work evenings and/or weekends

Applicants age 16 and up are welcome to apply (must have a valid work permit if under 18). Weekend and evening availability is preferred.

Compensation & Tips

• Hourly wage starts at $16.75 – $17.75/hour
• Tips are earned in addition to hourly wages
• Tip distribution follows Washington State law and may only include eligible hourly team members (not managers or supervisors)
• Handel’s does not use a tip credit — we pay at or above the Washington state minimum wage
