Joining Client AI (Movidius) means joining a dynamic team at a company that has established a reputation for innovation. Client AI (Movidius) has multiple Internships available in 2026 across all our hardware and software centric design teams. We have roles in the following teams:
R&D Engineering Roles:
Hardware Focused Roles:
- Physical design team - Physical layout, design and verification.
- RTL Design team - Hardware IP design and verification.
- Architecture team - Hardware Architecture design.
- Verification team - Hardware IP verification and design qualification.
- AI Applications team - Evaluate Neural network use cases Software focused roles.
Software Focused Roles:
- Complier team - Developing an optimized compiler toolchain for the IP to deliver inference performance though the OpenVino tool kit (Intel Distribution of OpenVINO Toolkit).
- NPU Software - Developing software drivers and firmware for the IP.
- Pre-Silicon Simulation team - IP Models and integrating them into virtual platforms.
- DevOps - IT and Operational services.
Mixed SW/HW Roles:
- Emulation team - Developing and validate pre silicon models on FPGA and emulation platforms.
- Design Automation - Infrastructure and automation.
Lab & Remote Operations Focused Roles
- Supporting our FGPA emulation, remote testing and development farms.
- Testing and validation of product specifications and characteristics.
- Use case projects including demo development, utilizing our extensive prototyping hardware.
- Development of lab tools and services.
- This role comprises significant operational management and business management elements in areas such as:
- EHS (Environmental Health and Safety), logistics and controlled technology, privacy (GDPR), operational management and finance.
- Successful lab support engineers will develop advanced communication and organizational skills to manage the dynamic, fast changing lab environment.
- You will also gain a great broad understanding of all aspects of our technology development, across our cutting-edge product portfolio.

Please indicate on your cover letter roles you would be interested in. Specific technical activities will vary depending per team, with all internships working on our current cutting-edge NPU neural processor technology portfolio. A strong problem-solving mindset is needed to resolve issues in flows, in designs, in testcases, toolsets etc.
Qualifications:
The candidate must be currently doing a Level 8 or Level 9 college course in Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Engineering with Business or an equivalent course. You must also be available for six to eight months in 2026 with a preferred starting date of either January or June.

The Software and AI (SAI) Team drives customer value by enabling differentiated experiences through leadership AI technologies and foundational software stacks, products, and services. The group is responsible for developing the holistic strategy for client and data center software in collaboration with OSVs, ISVs, developers, partners and OEMs. The group delivers specialized NPU IP to enable the AI PC and GPU IP to support all of Intel's market segments. The group also has HW and SW engineering experts responsible for delivering IP, SOCs, runtimes, and platforms to support the CPU and GPU/accelerator roadmap, inclusive of integrated and discrete graphics.Posting Statement:
