Intellectual Property Assistant – Trademark
Responsibilities:
  • Docket, transmit documents, and send filing confirmation to clients.
  • Answer clients’ trademark-related queries.
  • Prepare summaries and status reports for trademark cases for clients.
  • Monitor and transmit published marks in the IPO Electronic Gazette to clients.
  • Send reminders to various clients regarding Declarations of Actual use (3rd and 5th) Petition for Renewal and Renewal declarations.
  • Conduct follow-ups with the IPO on the status and release of documents such as Trademark Certificate of Registration, Certificate for Correction, Notices of Recordation and Acceptance.
  • Proofread and request correction of Trademark Certificate of Registration as necessary.
  • Follow up status of IP cases with the Bureau of Legal Affairs.
  • Perform other jobs in the Department that may be assigned.

Requirements:
  • Graduate of any 4 – year course, relevance to law practice preferred
  • Trademark-related work experience or experience in assisting lawyers, an advantage
