Interior Design Intern

About the Role

A+TB Design Studio is seeking a creative, motivated, and highly organised Interior Design Intern to join our team for a six-month placement. This is an exciting opportunity for someone eager to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic and fast-paced studio environment.

The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and passionate about interior design. You should be comfortable juggling multiple tasks, supporting ongoing projects, and contributing to the smooth day-to-day operations of the studio.

Upon successful completion of the internship, there may be an opportunity to progress into a full-time role within the company.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide administrative support to the design team
• Assist with logistical coordination across active interior design projects
• Support project management processes, including tracking timelines and deliverables
• Liaise with suppliers, warehouses, and contractors
• Manage stock checks, inventory tracking, and order coordination
• Assist with general studio operations and day-to-day tasks

• Exceptionally organized with strong attention to detail
• Clear and confident communicator
• Highly motivated, dependable, and capable of multitasking
• Passionate about interior design

Qualifications & Skills

• Currently enrolled undergraduate (minimum second year completed) or a recent graduate from an accredited interior design / design related program or have some background in design
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and AutoCAD required
• Working knowledge of SketchUp, Revit, and Adobe Creative Suite is an advantage
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Self-motivated with a willingness to engage in all aspects of the design process
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Full driver’s license and access to a car (essential)

Working Arrangement

This is a hybrid position, with time split between remote work and our Rathmines studio. Interns should have access to their own computer or laptop for remote working days.

Contract length: 6 months

Pay: From €28,700.00 per year
