Intern, Accounting

The JM Family College Internship program is designed to create an opportunity for college students to have meaningful work experiences that tie to their programs of study. As part of this program, you will actively contribute to your team’s success, learn about JM Family’s companies and culture while obtaining new skills through learning opportunities, networking events and much more. The ideal candidate will be available to work full time hours during the Fall/Spring Internship Program. This internship will include projects and tasks that relate to Accounting as well as performing accounting controls. Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the accounting functions of the retail and lease servicing and investor reporting systems and their impact on the financial statements and operational reports.
• Support accounting staff in all daily and monthly activities.
• Provide support and backup to team to ensure timely completion of assigned tasks.
• Ensure the integrity of the monthly system accounting data affecting financial reporting.
• Address all financial reporting systems issues as it relates to systems reconciliations, roll forwards and other Ad Hoc analysis/reporting.
• Research issues and work with appropriate departments to resolve system issues as well as internal process issues impacting the systems

Qualifications:

• This is a full-time, in-person position
• Ideal candidate will be actively enrolled in a degree seeking program at an accredited college or university with a focus in accounting (qualified candidates actively enrolled for a degree in a related field will also be considered) and must have completed at least one semester of classes
