Landsec Internships are exciting opportunities to join our business with six months of paid work experience. It’s important to us that Landsec reflects the communities we’re part of, which is why our internships aim to give people who might not have previously considered working in the real estate industry the chance to start their career in our organisation. Landsec Internships are entry level meaning it doesn’t matter if you have any work experience, what school you went to, or if you went to university. You might be at the start of your career, or even looking for a change in career. The placements are designed to build your confidence, transferable skills and experience in the world of work, while giving you the opportunity to contribute new insights and perspectives to our business.   • Six months of paid work experience starting in late October.

The role – Corporate Affairs Intern The Corporate Affairs team at Landsec is here to build the business’ reputation by communicating clearly what our strategy and our purpose is to a really varied audience group – from the media, to our customers, politicians and lots more.
The role of the Corporate Affairs Intern will be to support our internal communications and employee engagement work by helping to deliver a refreshed internal communications platform and new approach to how our business units and functions communicate. This role will also support on media relations, making sure we are in the best possible position to deliver proactive stories to the press, measure the outcomes from the activity and keep an eye on the changing media landscape so that we are able to react quickly.
In addition to these two key focus areas, the role will also work across the wider team on a variety of exciting projects and campaigns.
We’re looking for someone who has a real interest in communications. Someone who enjoys working in a fast paced environment that will give them an unique perspective across a real estate company. If you’re someone who pays attention to what’s being said in the papers, is interested in how you engage and motivate employees, and is great at writing stuff, then this role is right up your street. You’ll get the chance to work across the entire corporate affairs team, learn how we operate and how we tell the stories that help our business and people thrive.

You don’t need to have any qualifications or previous work experience to apply for our internships, but you may be asked to demonstrate a good level of written and spoken English. For your application to be taken forward, you need to meet at least two of the following eligibility criteria. Question 1: When I was aged 14, my parent or carer (main household earner) was one of the following: Someone who needed technical knowledge or specialist training to do their job, such as a technician, plumber, printer, electrician, gardener or train driver. Someone whose job involved routine or manual work, or provided a service to members of the public, such as postal worker, machine operative, security guard, caretaker, farm worker, catering assistant, sales assistant, HGV driver, cleaner, porter, packer, labourer or customer service. Unemployed and claimed Jobseeker’s Allowance (or unemployment benefit) for more than a year. If any of the above answers apply to you, and you answered ‘Yes’ to questions 2 or 3, you are eligible to apply. Question 2: When you were aged between 11 and 16, did you attend a state run or state funded school (i.e. you didn’t have to pay a fee to go there)? Yes No If you answered ‘Yes’ to this question, and you also meet the criteria for question 1 or 3, you are eligible to apply. Question 3: If you finished school after 1980, were you eligible to receive free school meals at any point during your time at school? Yes No I attended school outside of the UK and this does not apply to me. If you answered ‘Yes’ to this question, and you also meet the criteria for question 1 or 2, you are eligible to apply. If this does not apply to you because you attended school outside of the UK, you must make sure you meet the criteria for questions 1 or 2 to apply - please contact us if you’re not sure.
