About the Role:
We are seeking a smart and hard-working Finance Intern to join our Finance Team. At Viki, we manage financial data to ensure accurate reporting, support strategic decision-making, and optimize our financial processes. Our team is responsible for a variety of financial tasks, from transaction processing and analysis to assisting with budgeting and forecasting. We are particularly keen on leveraging technology to streamline our operations and enhance efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Finance team with day-to-day financial operations, including data entry, reconciliation, and expense management.
- Assist in preparing financial reports, presentations, and dashboards.
- Conduct analysis of financial data to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies.
- Collaborate with the Finance Analyst to identify opportunities for process improvement and automation
- Support the Finance team in various ad-hoc projects and initiatives.
- Learn and apply financial best practices and internal controls.
Required Qualifications:
- Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or a related discipline.
- Strong analytical skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Solid understanding of basic accounting principles and financial concepts.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUP, financial functions).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Proficiency in Python programming language, especially for data manipulation and automation within Excel, is a strong plus.
- Familiarity with financial software (Quickbooks) is a bonus.
