We, the BMW Group, offer you an interesting and varied internship in the field of AI Generative Models for Structure Development processes in the context of Generative Design.

What awaits you?

• Gaining insight in the car virtual design process at BMW and diving-in a real application of GenAI-driven engineering.
• Exploring the potential of GenAI in co-piloting engineers in designing complex parts.
• Comparing the GenAI-driven engineering with conventional development processes.
• Working closely with IT and engineering counterparts on the requirements, turning ideas into effective solutions and independently presenting your results.
• Working in an agile project organization as part of a Munich-based feature team.

What should you bring along?

• Master or advanced phase of Bachelor Studies of Mathematics, Computer Science, or comparable qualification.
• Knowledge of and first practical experience in programming, machine learning and deep learning.
• Familiar with one or more Deep Generative Models like Autoencoders, GANs or Diffusion models.
• Knowledge with gradient-based optimization, DragGAN, DragDiffusion and other relevant work is a plus.
• Advanced programming skills in Python including experience with libraries such as Scikit Learn, OpenCV and NumPy.
• Knowledge in one or more Deep Learning frameworks like Tensorflow, PyTorch.
• Team spirit and communication skills.
• Good English language skill.
