Domus Academy Domus Academy was founded in Milan in 1982 as Italy’s first postgraduate design school and as an open project revolving around Italian design and fashion. Over the years, it has evolved into a school in the full sense of the term: a place for postgraduate training and a research laboratory on the themes of innovation and design. The 1994 winner of the Compasso d’Oro for its approach to academics and research, Domus Academy has been included three times in Business Week’s guide to the world’s top 60 design schools. From 2012 to 2017 it was included in Domus magazine’s guide to Europe’s top 100 schools of architecture and design and from 2012 to 2014 in Frame’s guide to the world’s 30 leading graduate schools of design, architecture, and fashion. In 2016 and 2017, Domus Academy’s Fashion School was selected by Business of Fashion as one of the Top Global Fashion Schools.
Domus Academy offers 12 master’s programs attended by students from around the world: Business Design, Product Design, Fashion Design, Interaction Design, Interior & Living Design, Urban Vision & Architectural Design, Fashion Management, Fashion Styling & Visual Merchandising, Visual Brand Design, Luxury Brand Management, Information Design, and Service Design. Domus Academy is looking for: INTERNSHIP ACADEMIC REGISTRATION OFFICE The intern will join the Academic Registration Unit that takes care of all the registration procedures related to matriculation, credits, exams; collects from students the necessary documentation and issues all the required certificates and transcripts at the end of each Academic Cycle. The Intern will also support, when requested, the management of collaborations with International Institutional Partners and the implementation of short courses and special programmes. The candidate will carry out the following activities:
  • Support the matriculation of all students and apply study plans according to the guidelines of the school.
  • Set up the course registers on the Academy dedicated platform.
  • Support the preparation of online exam registration sessions and monitor the registration of all grades and update of students’ curriculum.
  • Make sure diplomas and certificates are issued in time to be delivered to students.
  • Prepares certificates, diploma supplements, and documentation as per students’/alumni request or academic needs.
  • Support students with all the requests related to the permit of stay, fiscal code, health insurance, bank account opening and City Council registration.
  • Execute all activities connected with the Final exam: study plan check, print-out of the official registers of the final exam, final grade registration and print-out and distribution of the required certificates.
  • Set up, send and monitor Student Surveys and prepare relevant reports.
  • Support, when required, the management of collaborations with International Institutional Partners and the implementation of short courses and special programmes (welcoming students attending summer and short courses, preparing welcome kits for students and guests, monitoring students’ attendance, taking care of issuing final certificates and/or transcripts upon successful completion of these courses).
REQUIREMENTS: University Degree in Humanities like International Relations, Cultural Mediation or Law. C1 level of English Good knowledge of MS Office (Excel especially) Previous short professional experience in front office with international students is desirable. Highly motivated, customer-oriented, precise, team player with excellent interpersonal and organizational skills CONDITIONS
  • 6 months full time internship.
  • €800 reimbursement of expenses + ticket restaurant.
  • Workplace: Milan (MM2 Romolo).
