Get to know the role

GrabRentals (GR) is responsible for securing vehicular supply for the Grab platform. We strive to be a trustworthy partner that creates income opportunities for our driver-partners by sustainably providing them access to quality assets for use in Grab's marketplaces. To better unlock the value of our assets, a comprehensive fleet management system is required for data analysis.

Responsibilities:

• Continue to develop and maintain a full fleet management system on Zoho Creator under the direction of the Fleet Manager

• Write clean, efficient, and scalable code in Deluge & Java programming language to deliver a system that meets our organisational needs

• Create technical design documentation, mockups, and application wireframes

• Work closely with team members, keeping them informed of project developments and escalating complex issues to the IT manager

• Test, debug, and document software components, ensuring that code meets organisational software quality standards

• Ensure that project timelines are met and deliverables are produced on time

• Participate in debugging, bug fixes, and other development and testing-related activities

Requirements:

• Preferably able to commit full-time from August to December 2023

• Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science or related field

• Solid foundation in Java programming language and database design

• Experience with Zoho Creator, or comparable low-code platform

• Knowledge of software development practices and methodologies, with strong attention to detail

• Ability to write clean, reusable, and efficient code while adhering to best practices

• Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment

• A self-starter who can work independently with minimal supervision
