Plan International Pilipinas is a girl-centered community-focused non-government organization, serving the Philippines for the last 64 years.


We are a newly locally registered Foundation, connected to 80+ Plan International offices worldwide.


We work with around 7,000 partner communities or barangays across the country, delivering programs on (PIER) Protection from Violence, Inclusive Health, Education to Economic Empowerment, and Resilience and Humanitarian.


We have 30,000 sponsored children and 2.5 million program participants, co-creating lasting impact especially for girls.

As we continue strengthening our internal systems to support long-term, gender‑transformative programming, we are looking for a dedicated Internal Audit and Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team.


About the Role


The Internal Audit and Quality Assurance Specialist plays a key role in safeguarding the organization’s integrity and operational excellence. You will assess compliance with internal controls, identify weaknesses and risk areas, and recommend corrective measures that enhance the effectiveness of our systems. Working closely with the Internal Audit & Quality Assurance Manager, you will conduct audits, drive quality assurance, and support the organization’s counter‑fraud initiatives.


This position is integral to ensuring that Plan International Pilipinas continues to deliver high-quality programming through sound, transparent, and accountable business processes.


Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct internal audits of program operations across all program areas and operating units, identifying control weaknesses and risk exposures.
  • Prepare and submit comprehensive audit reports with actionable recommendations to the Executive Director.
  • Review partner-implemented projects to assess compliance with Partnership Agreements and internal control standards.
  • Co-plan, perform, and document fraud investigations and fact-finding missions in coordination with the APAC Counter Fraud Specialist.
  • Lead fraud awareness activities and deliver counter‑fraud training sessions.
  • Follow up on the implementation and effectiveness of recommended internal control measures.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business Administration; Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred.
  • Training in auditing standards, auditing techniques, and risk‑based audit methodologies.
  • At least three (3) years of experience in Internal or External Auditing, or financial/administrative supervision.
  • Experience working with an international NGO is an advantage.
