You'll be hands-on, technically strong, and execution-focused. You don't just design IT frameworks, you implement, test, and improve them. You'll partner with Product, Engineering, Ops, Finance, and People to deliver secure, efficient IT operations and drive projects that make Workwize corporate-ready. You'll report directly to the Co-founder and CTO and own your goals end-to-end.

  • Provide hands-on troubleshooting and escalation resolution for employee issues
  • Define, enforce, and continuously improve IT policies, SLAs, and best practices
  • Drive measurable improvements in IT operations, tracking OKRs and delivering outcomes

Strengthen infrastructure & security

Ensure our infrastructure is secure, reliable, and scalable.

  • Oversee cloud services (Azure AD/Entra ID, identity management), server infrastructure, networking, and security tooling
  • Implement, test, and optimize security protocols, access controls, endpoint protection, and disaster recovery processes
  • Monitor compliance with frameworks (e.g., SOC 2, POPIA) and support audits

Drive projects & manage vendors

Lead IT initiatives from start to finish and ensure tools and vendors meet business needs.

  • Deliver IT projects, from system implementations to upgrades and integrations
  • Identify, select, and roll out new tools, negotiating contracts and managing vendor performance
  • Maintain technical documentation, change logs, and knowledge bases

Strategic planning & execution

Turn IT strategy into measurable results.

  • Define and maintain the IT roadmap aligned with company growth and corporate readiness
  • Set goals, track progress, and take ownership of outcomes
  • Manage the IT budget (OPEX & CAPEX), forecast needs, and optimize spend

Team collaboration & enablement

Foster ownership and continuous improvement across IT.

  • Mentor internal or outsourced IT resources, building skills and ownership
  • Collaborate with People/Operations on onboarding/offboarding workflows and automation
  • Be the go-to person for IT guidance, decisions, and execution across the company

What we're looking for?

  • Proven track record in startups or high-growth B2B SaaS environments
