International Student Counselor – Korea

Counselling Support

- Monitors the progress of international students and provides ongoing support, which may include referring students for professional assistance, when appropriate

- Work collaboratively with other departments to ensure student satisfaction and success

- Provide support to other administrative departments upon request

- Offer academic program counselling services and assistance to current and potential students

- Liaison with the Academic Department to determine the most suitable study plan that will meet the student’s needs and goals

- Address and resolve any student concerns, complaints, and requests

- Counsel students in order to facilitate their transition to living in Toronto and help adjust to cultural differences

- Provide ongoing support to students and parents

- Other duties as assigned by their supervisors.

Job Qualification

- College diploma or university degree

- Experience in international student counselling is preferred

- Fluent in English and Korean

- Must be proactive and performance driven

- Knowledge of educational systems and international secondary & post-secondary systems of other countries is an asset

- Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with colleagues and students

- Proficient in Microsoft Office, outlook and google drive

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Pay: $20.00-$26.00 per hour

• marketing: 1 year (preferred)
