The PwC SG Trade Advisory Hub is a newly established center dedicated to assisting local and multinational companies in navigating, transforming and growing within Singapore and the surrounding region, amidst an increasingly complex trade environment. Our focus is on developing and delivering specialised assets in trade, tax, and supply chain management to help businesses diagnose potential threats and identify pathways for sustainable future growth.
About the role
As an International Supply Chain Strategy R&D Manager at the PwC SG Trade Advisory Hub, you will play a critical role in empowering businesses to optimise their global supply chain strategies and improve operational efficiencies across territories. Your expertise will help companies adapt to global trade trends, mitigate risks and seize opportunities for business growth. You will collaborate closely with our Trade & Customs and Tax & Incentives teams and engage with stakeholders to develop and deliver integrated solutions.
Key Activities
Asset development:
- Develop and refine materials and assets, such as playbooks, whitepapers, and technology tools, to assist companies in Singapore in building new and/or more resilient international trade lanes and markets, supporting their international growth.
- Create resources that help international companies expand their trade control tower operations in Singapore, enhancing their global trade capabilities.
Market outreach:
- Utilise strategy materials and assets developed within the Trade Advisory Hub to engage businesses in Singapore and internationally, educating them on growth possibilities.
- Identify areas for collaboration and assist companies in reinventing or restructuring their operations to optimise business opportunities within the evolving international trade landscape.
Project delivery:
- Identify and assess key global trade corridors, including analysis of supply and demand dynamics and future growth prospects against the current geopolitical context.
- Conduct tailored trade corridor diagnostics and high-level evaluations to help companies in the development and execution of short, medium, and long-term strategies, ensuring they are well-positioned to navigate challenges and seize opportunities in global trade.
About you
Proven experience working in international supply chain strategy/management in either a management consulting capacity or within industry in strategy or general management role, preferably in a multinational context
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management/Strategy, International Business, Economics or a related field; Master’s degree preferred but not required
Knowledge and interest in geopolitics and international current affairs
Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret complex data and market trends
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
Strong experience with business development with ability to develop insightful presentations to support proposals, client discussions and business development pursuits
Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment
Flexibility and adaptability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment
