About the role

We are offering a 3-month internship opportunity in Data Scientists Engineer in Rio Tinto Boron, California Operations (riotinto.com).

You will join a friendly Digital team dedicated to your personal growth and success, while having the ability to choose your area of focus from a host of opportunities including: data pipeline development, product design & development, collaborating with third party software vendors, helping users make data-driven decisions and working within a global supply chain driven by IOT devices & cloud services.

What you’ll bring

• At least one year completed* in bachelors or masters or advanced degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Data Analytics, or similar field.
• Demonstrated analytical or problem-solving skills either through academic or work experience.
• Basic understanding of data analysis, data extraction, transform and loading is beneficial.
• Experience in Python, SQL, Typescript, or any other common programming languages is a plus.
• Leadership skills, eagerness to learn and ready for the challenge ahead
• Flexibility and autonome
• Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team
• Valid driving licence

• To be eligible, you must return to school the semester following the internship period and have the right to work full-time in the United States.
